Our AML and Verification Policy
As the compliance team of Spintexas Casino, we hold a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA/B2C/812/2025), and that licence obliges us to verify every player and monitor every transaction. This page explains exactly what we check, when we check it, and what we need from you.
Our AML Commitment
We operate under licence MGA/B2C/812/2025 issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, and we apply the anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing rules of that jurisdiction in full. Our compliance programme is risk-based: the higher the risk a player or transaction presents, the more scrutiny it receives.
We appoint a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) who owns this policy, trains our staff, and files reports to the relevant authorities where there are grounds to suspect money laundering. Criminal funds have no place on our platform, and we would rather decline a deposit than process one we cannot explain.
When We Verify You
Verification checkpoints
Verification happens at three points: at registration, where we screen your details against sanctions and PEP lists; before your first withdrawal; and whenever your deposits or withdrawals reach thresholds that trigger enhanced checks under our MGA obligations.
- Registration: identity details screened against sanctions, PEP and adverse-media databases
- First withdrawal: full document verification completed before funds are released
- Threshold reviews: additional checks when cumulative transactions exceed internal limits
- Random audits: periodic re-verification of accounts selected by risk scoring
Documents we accept
We ask for three document types, and each must show the name registered on your account.
- Government-issued photo ID: passport, driving licence or national identity card, valid and legible on all four corners
- Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or official letter dated within the last 3 months
- Proof of payment method: photo of the card (first six and last four digits visible) or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name
How Verification Works
Step by step
Verification takes place entirely inside your account, and our team processes submissions within 48 hours of receiving them. Here is the exact sequence:
- 1. Open the Verification section of your account profile
- 2. Upload clear, uncropped photos or scans of each required document
- 3. Our compliance team reviews the submission within 48 hours
- 4. You receive an email confirming approval or requesting a replacement document
- 5. Approved status unlocks withdrawals, and no further action is needed unless a later review is triggered
How we protect your documents
Your uploads travel over TLS encryption and land in access-controlled storage that only our compliance team can reach. We never share verification documents with third parties except where the law or our regulator requires it, and we do not use them for marketing.
When We Ask About Funds
For most players, a verified ID and payment method are enough. If your deposits are large relative to the profile on your account, or your funding pattern changes sharply, we may ask for evidence of the source of those funds. This is not an accusation; it is a legal obligation on us under the MGA framework.
Acceptable evidence includes recent payslips, a tax return or HMRC notice, bank statements showing regular income, a signed employment contract, or documentation of a property sale, inheritance or investment redemption. We treat everything you send as confidential and review it against the deposit levels we actually see.
How We Monitor Transactions
Deposits and withdrawals
Every deposit and withdrawal passes automated screening before it settles. We compare transaction patterns against your verified profile, flag anything structurally unusual, and escalate genuine anomalies to the MLRO for review. Our withdrawal rule is simple: funds return by the same method you used to deposit, which prevents layering through mismatched channels.
| Parameter | Our rule |
|---|---|
| Minimum deposit / withdrawal | £20 |
| Daily withdrawal cap | £4,500 |
| Weekly withdrawal cap | £18,000 |
| Monthly withdrawal cap | £45,000 |
| Withdrawal processing time | 0-24 hours after verification |
| Casino fees | None; crypto network fees may apply |
Crypto deposits
Cryptocurrency deposits in BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC and DOGE receive the same monitoring as fiat, with additional blockchain screening of source addresses. If a wallet interacts with sanctioned or high-risk services, we refuse the transaction and may close the account.
If Verification Fails
If a document is rejected, we tell you why and invite a replacement; a blurred photo is not the end of the process. However, if you do not complete verification before your first withdrawal, that withdrawal stays on hold. If you ignore our requests entirely, we suspend the account, and persistent non-compliance leads to closure with any balance returned to a verified payment method in your name.
We also reserve the right to freeze an account when monitoring identifies a serious concern. In those cases we may be legally restricted from telling you the reason, and funds may be held until a competent authority releases them.
How Long We Keep Records
We retain verification documents and transaction records for five years after the account closes, because our MGA licence and the anti-money-laundering laws it enforces require it. After that period we delete personal data securely, unless a legal hold applies. You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time by writing to [email protected].
Frequently asked questions
Why was my ID rejected?
The most common reasons are glare or blur obscuring the photo, an expired document, cropped edges, or a name that does not match your account. We tell you the specific reason and you can upload a replacement straight away.
Do I have to verify before I can deposit?
No. You can register, deposit and play, but full document verification must be completed before your first withdrawal is released.
How long does verification take?
Up to 48 hours from submission. Most documents are reviewed faster, and you receive an email either way.
Why must withdrawals use my deposit method?
Our same-method rule is an anti-money-laundering requirement: funds must return to the verified source they came from. If you deposited by card, we pay back to that card up to the deposited amount.
What happens to my documents after verification?
They are stored encrypted for five years after your account closes, as our MGA licence requires, then securely deleted. Only our compliance team can access them.
